Astha Tamang is a 19-year-old girl from Shantipur Village, Sadiya, Assam, now living in Shillong, Meghalaya. Like a Titli waiting to spread her wings, Astha dreams of becoming an Air Hostess and soaring towards a brighter future. However, life’s hardships have forced her to put her dreams on hold. Despite her potential, she had to sacrifice her education to support her family’s daily needs. Her family’s financial struggles are the only barrier holding her back from flying high.
The Titli Campaign is a chance to help Astha break free from the cocoon of challenges, poverty and transform her life. With the right support, she can turn her dreams into reality and uplift her family along the way.
Astha, born on 30th May 2005, speaks English, Hindi, and Nepali fluently. She completed Class 12 from Nongthymmai Nepali Higher Secondary School in 2023. Currently working as a Sales Executive at Manik Chand and Sons Jewellers (Feb 2024 – Apr 2025), she has been supporting her family while silently nurturing her dream. Your contribution can give Astha the wings she needs to fly and embrace a brighter future.
Her Struggles
Astha’s family is facing tough times. Her mother is suffering from severe kidney disease and is currently getting treatment at North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute, Shillong. However, she needs better medical care in Guwahati for proper treatment. Her father, China Tamang, works as a tourist taxi driver in Shillong, but his limited income is not enough to cover medical expenses and daily needs.
Astha’s younger brother had to drop out of school after Class 7 due to financial problems. Instead of following her dream, Astha started working to help her family with daily expenses and her mother’s treatment.

Air Hostess Training at Frankfinn Academy, Guwahati – ₹1,65,000
Astha has the perfect height, communication skills, and dedication to become an Air Hostess. The training will cover aviation training, soft skills development, grooming, and job placement support. This Amount includes a discount of ₹35,000 for Astha in a special case.
11 Months of Living & Travel Expenses for Astha During Training – ₹55,000
It will cover Astha’s accommodation, food, and travel expenses while she completes her training.
